William Abolt, Shaw Group, Chicago, IL, and Chairman of the Board, Sun Phocus Technologies, LLC  
 Mr. Abolt directs the Chicago office of Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc. and is responsible for the management and oversight of its consulting operations.  Prior to joining Shaw, he served as Environment Commissioner, Director of the Office of Budget and Management and Chief of Management for the City of Chicago and, before that, as Executive Director of the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County.  He has twenty years of experience in managing complex environmental and public issues including regulatory and enforcement proceedings, state delegated environmental programs, comprehensive Brownfield redevelopment and multi-disciplinary investigations of environmental impacts. He is a past member of the Illinois Regulatory Review Commission, the Board of Directors of the National Association of Local Government Environmental Professionals, the Board of Trustees of the Municipal Waste Management Association of the US Conference of Mayors, the Board of the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission and served as Chairman of Chicago’s Emissions Credit Trading Bank.  He has provided testimony on environmental issues in legal and legislative proceedings including hearings of the United States Congress.  He has a bachelor’s degree from Augustana College and an MPA from Northern Illinois University.  

 

Suzanne T. Henson, Vice President, Lakeside Bank, Chicago, IL
Ms. Henson has more than 25 years as a bank executive in commercial lending responsible for commercial real estate loans, construction loans, accounts receivable and equipment loans, revolving lines of credit, and consumer loans.   Henson’s financial expertise will be vital in putting together low-risk financial agreements for projects involving private-public sector partnerships to make solar technology attractive and affordable.  She has a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.  

Dennis A. Roberson, Associate Provost and Research Professor, Illinois Institute of Technology
Prof. Roberson oversees the Institute of Business and Interprofessional Studies, the Jules F. Knapp Entrepreneurship Center, the Career Development Center, and serves as the Principle Investigator for an NSF funded Wireless Research Laboratory.   In these capacities, he is responsible for IIT’s undergraduate business and related co-curricular programs, and its concentration on entrepreneurship, leadership, and technology based projects.  He is also responsible for working across the university to assist in technology transfer, and the development of new research centers and technology based business ventures.  Prior to IIT, he was EVP and CTO of Motorola. Roberson has an extensive corporate career including major business and technology responsibilities at IBM, DEC, AT&T, and NCR.  He is a recognized leader in the industry and is a distinguished guest speaker around the globe.  Roberson has undergraduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and in Physics from Washington State University and an MSEE degree from Stanford.
